Raiding (Austria), Luxembourg and Bayreuth (Germany) were connected together on July 19th and on July 31st for the unique project by Austrian composer and musician Gerhard Kramer – LISZ[:T:]RAIN, dedicated to Franz Liszt. Franz Liszt was born on 22nd October 1811 in Raiding, he performed in the public for the last time in Luxembourg on 19th July 1886, he died in Bayreuth on 31st July 1886. With a composition for three pianos, three percussionists, live electronic and video those three historical places were tightly linked together. At every location, in the historical rooms where Liszt himself performed back in the 19th Century, contemporary musicians have started to play the composition by Kramer simultaneously. The percussionists synchronized themselves using digital clocks as well as the pianists did. Juli für ein einzigartiges Projekt des österreichischen Komponisten und Musikers Gerhard Kramer miteinander verbunden – das LISZ[:T:]RAIN, zu Ehren von Franz Liszt. Franz Liszt wurde am 22. Oktober 1811 in Raiding geboren, hatte seinen letzten öffentlichen Auftritt in Luxemburg am 19. Juli 1886 und starb am 31. Juli 1886 in Bayreuth. Mit einem Arrangement von 3 Klavieren, 3 Schlagzeugen sowie Live-Video wurden diese 3 historischen Orte miteinander verbunden. An jedem Standort, in den historischen Räumen, in denen Liszt selbst im 19. Jahrhundert musizierte, starteten zeitgenössische Musiker gleichzeitig mit einer Komposition von Gerhard Kramer. Sowohl die Schlagzeuger als auch die Pianisten synchronisierten ihren Anfang nach digitalen Uhren. Sechs IO [io] 8001 Audio / Video En/Decoder von MAYAH wurden für die synchrone Übertragung der Audio- und Videosignale in Broadcastqualität über das Internet zu einem vierten Standort – der Bahnhof in Luxemburg – eingesetzt.
