15 July 2006, Hallbergmoos / Singapore / Hanoi. Live broadcast of the football matches, news updates, commentaries and interviews were in focus of a broadcasting organised by Vietnam Multimedia Corporation (VTC) during the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany.

Multimedia & broadcasting systems integrator Daxco Digital Pte Ltd (Singapore) supplied the Vietnamese broadcaster with several MAYAH IO [io] 8000 Audio Video En/Decoders to transmit the signal from a mobile studio of VTC in Berlin to the Headquarters in Hanoi over the public IP networks with only 2 Mbit/s bandwidth available.

Encoded with MPEG-4 ASP the picture was stable and convincing and it allowed many thousands people watching the two vietnam TV channels VTC1 and VTC2 country-wide to follow one of the most exciting sporting events in the world with the live commentaries in their language.
