 AJC - Automatic Jitter Compensation

ajcImproving the IP connectivity with high sophisticated automatic analysis and parameter setting mechanisms for bit rate, buffer and others.

This advanced feature can be switched on/off, although "off" is only reasonable if certain parameter settings need to be forced and the default time needed of AJC is not considered to be suitable, see http://mayah.com/content/download/pdfs/appnotes/general/a_n_e_033.pdf... for more details.

FEC - Forward Error Correction

Many times – especially when using public networks - like the Internet - IP packets may be lost due to different causes, such as routers discarding damaged packages, overload situation or different routing of different packages of the same stream – which may cause high latency and subsequently package loss.

Different to other FEC schemes, MAYAH's Pro MPEG FEC implementation attempts to recreate the entire lost IP packet. It allows flexible settings in terms of redundancy and performance. This is essential for the use in IP based networks, more details see http://mayah.com/content/download/pdfs/appnotes/general/a_n_e_031.pdf...

Dual IP offers two mono encode/decode

Dual IP offers two bi-directional mono encode/decode transmission chains. Instead of one bi-directional stereo via IP you can split the device into two independant mono units, establishing two bi-directional mono connections via IP. This feature supports any audio coding format, such as G.711, G.722, L2, L3, AAC, AAC HEv2, apt-X and others.

Dual ISDN offers two mono encode/decode

Dual ISDN offers two bi-directional mono encode/decode transmission chains. Instead of one bi-directional stereo via ISDN you can split the device into two independant mono units, establishing two bi-directional mono connections via IP. This feature supports any audio coding format, which allows a bit rate of 64 kbps, such as G.711, G.722, L2, L3, AAC, AAC HEv2, apt-X and others.

Intercom Audio Mode

This unique intercom capability allows commentators to communicate with an additional person on-site by simply pushing one button. The main circuit is a bi-directional connection via IP, e.g. Layer 2 stereo and in addition a communication channel is switched via IP using G.711 or G.722 or even linear.

Single Reporter Mode

Single Reporter ModeThere are always different ways to operate an audio codec. MAYAH has chosen the option to offer various graphical user interfaces, thus, in addition to the normal interface, there is one mode for Single Reporters. This allows a focus on all operational aspects a single reporter needs. Furthermore, there is also the Single Reporter Mode plus Recording, allowing access to audio codec and extensive recording features.

Dual Reporter Mode

Dual Reporter ModeThere are always different ways to operate an audio codec. MAYAH has chosen the option to offer various graphical user interfaces, thus, in addition to the normal interface, there is one mode for two reporters. This allows a focus on all operational aspects two people will need for a successfull audio transmission.

WebRemote 2010

The new web remote control for MAYAH C11, Sporty and Flashman II products is supported for a variety of browsers, such as Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and others. The web remote can be used for complete device monitoring but also as operational tool to establish and watch connections.

Webremote 2010

Multiple Unicast

Easy poll of a unicast stream from an encoder at up to 11 remote locations. Good distribution alternative in the networks without multicast support. This is fully supported with C11xx and Sporty as well as Flashman II without involving a third party streaming server - very efficient solution!

Multiple Unicast

Point-to-Multipoint over ISDN

Distribute one signal over ISDN to the up to 8 destinations using a single C114x or C116x as well as a CENTAURI III 3001 Audio Codec over ISDN or up to 2 destinations using the reporter codec SPORTY. Different quality levels from G.711/G.722 up to AAC HE are available.

BGAN

All MAYAH Audio Codecs provide APN & Login Support for QoS on BGAN/Inmarsat connections which eliminates the process of also operating the BGAN terminal. Just do it with your MAYAH audio codec. The most secure Audio-over-IP from every corner of the world. MAYAH Audio Codecs Sporty, C11xx, FMII and others have been successfully used with Thrane & Thrane and other BGAN equipment manufacturers.

Simultaneous Recording and Transmission

While fellow journalists just record their materials to cut them and send back to the studio later, you’re On Air with Audio-over-IP / 3G / Wi-Fi and still get your interview recorded as uncompressed audio on an SD Card. This allows you to re-use and edit your recorded audio for second and third party marketing.

Silence Detection

Silence DetectionMAYAH audio codec products do support a signal analysis. Thus, for purposes of monitoring, logging or automatic backup, the audio signal can be controlled in terms of duration and level. For instance, a defined time of 3 seconds and a level of -55dB will cause the audio codec device for a specific pre-defined action, e.g. a backup call ort an alarm output or an SNMP trap indication to the management system.

SIP+ for enhanced usage of SIP

From the beginning in 2006, MAYAH supports fully the EBU N/ACIP recommendation. Its support goes even beyond the existing recommendations which are fully implemented. All different types of algorithms and bit rates as well as access to MAYAH SIP test servers are available with a touch of a button.
